REFUND POLICY.
A legal disclaimer
The Foundation of Cecil County Public Schools is grateful for the generosity of our donors and community partners. Contributions help support educational opportunities, programs, initiatives, and resources benefiting students and educators throughout Cecil County Public Schools.
Charitable Donations
Charitable donations made to The Foundation of Cecil County Public Schools are generally considered final and non-refundable.
We understand, however, that errors can occasionally occur when making an online donation. Refund requests may be considered in circumstances such as:
-
A donation was made in error
-
A donation was submitted more than once
-
An incorrect donation amount was entered
-
An unauthorized transaction occurred
If you believe an error has occurred, please contact the Foundation as soon as possible.

Email: jlshaw@ccps.org
Phone: 410-996-5401 ext. 43018
Please provide your name, the date of the donation, the donation amount, and a brief explanation of the reason for your request. Do not send credit card, debit card, bank account, or other sensitive financial information by email.
All refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Submission of a request does not guarantee that a refund will be issued.
Online Payment Processing
Online donations may be processed through PayPal or another authorized third-party payment processor.
Approved refunds will generally be returned through the original payment method whenever possible and may be subject to the processing procedures and timelines of the applicable payment provider.
The Foundation does not control the time required by a payment processor or financial institution to complete or post a refund.
Tax Receipts
If a charitable contribution is refunded after a donation acknowledgment or tax receipt has been issued, the original acknowledgment or receipt should no longer be used to claim a charitable contribution deduction for the refunded amount.
Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding questions about the tax treatment of charitable contributions or refunds.
Changes to This Policy
The Foundation may update this Refund Policy as necessary. Any changes will be posted on this website with an updated effective date.
